Salary Range: $162,800–$180,900
Weeghman & Briggs is seeking a motivated and mission‑driven Data Scientist Level 3 to support critical government initiatives.
What You'll Do- Support mission‑critical programs in secure government environments.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality results.
- Ensure compliance with contract and security standards.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and performance.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Master's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Associate's Degree with 12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting government or DoD programs.
- Relevant experience in designing or implementing machine learning, data science, advanced analytical algorithms, programming (skill in at least one high‑level language such as Python), statistical analysis (e.g., variability, sampling error, inference, hypothesis testing, EDA, application of linear models), data management (e.g., data cleaning and transformation), data mining, data modeling and assessment, artificial intelligence, and/or software engineering. Experience in more than one area is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in two or more of the following skill areas:
- Relevant certifications (Security+, CISSP, PMP, AWS, etc.).
- Foundations: mathematical, computational, statistical.
- Data processing: data management and curation, data description and visualization, workflow and reproducibility.
- Modeling, inference, and prediction: data modeling and assessment, domain‑specific considerations.
- Experience devising strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets.
- Strong analytical modeling, statistical analysis, programming, or other appropriate scientific methods to develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets in various states of organization, cleanliness, and structure.
- Ability to translate practical mission needs and analytic questions into technical requirements and to assist others with drawing appropriate conclusions from data analysis.
- Effective communication of complex technical information to non‑technical audiences.
- Informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions, maintaining awareness of shifting government data capabilities and limitations.
- Experience supporting the Federal Government.
- Agile, cloud, or modernization experience.
- Background in process improvement or analytical services.
The projected salary range for this position is $162,800–$180,900, depending on experience, qualifications, and contract requirements. We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support you both professionally and personally.
