About The Role
Peraton seeks a Cloud / Platform Architect to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO AI Cyber Security Support.
Location:
Fort Meade, MD.
In this role, you will design and oversee cloud and big data platform infrastructure supporting Caspian and JCRS-D environments.
Primary Responsibilities- Design cloud and platform architectures
- Oversee Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink deployments
- Define infrastructure standards and patterns
- Ensure platform scalability and reliability
- Guide platform technology decisions
- Support multi‑classification environments
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA;
Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA;
Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.; will consider HS+16 years of experience - Expert knowledge of big data platforms
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of distributed systems
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
- Experience with DoD cloud environments
- U.S. Citizenship required
- DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance
- 12 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master’s degree is preferred in Computer Science or a related field - AWS/Azure Solutions Architect certification
- Hadoop certification
Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. Salary is determined by factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and location.
