Base pay range$50.00/hr - $70.00/hr
Location: Fort Meade, MD
Length: Long Term Contract (6 yrs left on contract)
Clearance: Will be processed for a Secret clearance
Day-To-Day:An employer is looking for a Service Now SME to sit at Fort Meade, MD. This candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the Telecommunication Management System (TSM), Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), Telecommunications Service Operations Management (TSOM), and Telecommunications (OMT) modules. They support the setup, configuration, and implementation of Service Now’s ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules. They help design, create, and maintain Service Now forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, and roles, as well as dashboards and scheduled reports.
They design tool integrations with Service Now (like Elastic, Netcool, Kafka), coordinate and support app and platform upgrades, and assist with business process flows. They work with the Service Now development team to propose solutions based on business needs, design and configure Service Now functions, and support business process re-engineering to move ticketing and order management into Service Now. They identify trends in customer data to improve the customer experience and network performance and interact with customers to address technical issues and conflicts.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Typically requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
- Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 14 days of start date
- Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified
- Experience in architecture, design, development, and delivery of data driven operations capabilities, within a DoD environment, including experience building and deploying software applications that meet DoD security standards and updating applications and code to meet security scans and security implementation guidelines (e.g. STIGs).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Service Now standup, configuration, and/or maintenance
- 2+ years of direct experience with the Service Now Telecommunications modules
- Experience with JIRA, Git and Confluence
- Experience with the Service Now application
- Experience or familiarity with Agile development
- Exposure to Service Now applications like Telecommunication Management System (TSM), Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), Telecommunications Service Operations management Order Management (TSOM), Order Management Telecommunications (OMT) modules, etc.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
- Experience working with large software systems including hardware integration and test
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams
- Experience moving from a legacy application to a new application.
