Firmware-savvy CNO Developer

Job Overview

Our client conducts research and development and prototyping of new Command, Control, and Operate (CNO) capabilities for the end customer in the Intelligence Community. The role involves vulnerability research, exploit development, CNO tool development and enhancement, and infrastructure support (Dev Ops) across platforms such as iOS, Android, macOS, Linux, Windows, and other environments.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with full scope poly.

Work takes place in various locations at and around the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Remote work is not supported.

• Design, develop, and implement embedded software capabilities in
  
  C.
• Conduct reverse engineering of embedded systems, binaries, and firmware.
• Collaborate with senior subject‑matter experts to expand skills.
• Apply vulnerability research and CNO skills to discover and implement novel solutions.
• Contribute to efforts that directly enhance national security and protect critical systems.

• Strong proficiency (5‑10 years) in C programming.
• Experience analyzing and/or developing firmware.
• Experience doing reverse engineering on diverse architectures.
• Familiarity with reverse‑engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, other binary analysis platforms).
• Experience with vulnerability research.
• At least 2 years of cybersecurity/CNO‑specific development.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Salary: $130,000 – $250,000 annually, depending on experience.
