System Administrator Lvl – IT Systems Ops & Support Security Clearance

Position: System Administrator Lvl 2 – IT Systems Ops & Support with Security Clearance
The System Administrator Level 2 provides operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for enterprise IT systems across UNIX, Windows, network, storage, and client environments. This role is responsible for daily system operations, Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem resolution, configuration management, performance optimization, and maintaining the reliability of mission critical systems. Responsibilities

• Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems across server, network, storage, and endpoint devices

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 escalation support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution

• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems and provide assistance to end users

• Perform day to day monitoring, operations, and problem resolution for client/server and networked devices

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, dispatch system, and system integrity issues

• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install OS software, and maintain reliable system configurations

• Implement OS and system enhancements to improve performance and reliability

• Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform capacity planning

• Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated issues to management and internal customers

• Participate in troubleshooting activities involving multiple IT components and environments Qualifications

• Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph — no exceptions

• 10 years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs of similar scope and complexity

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline

• An additional 5 years of SA experience may be substituted for a degree

• Must have one IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
