Cyber Core is looking for a Database Administrator 2.

Looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to learn new skills as well as contribute to the growth and maturity of the processes used to support and maintain databases by a small, talented, and hardworking database administration team. This team creates, maintains, and troubleshoots Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB databases on multiple networks using multiple architectures. The environment consists of databases hosted both in on-premise datacenters and in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience creating, maintaining, patching, and troubleshooting issues related to Microsoft SQL Server databases, knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies, work well in a small team setting, have a desire to automate processes where possible, and a willingness to think outside the box to find solutions.

• Ten (10) years of experience as a DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional DBA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum certification of IAT Level II. (CCNA - SECURITY, GICSP, GSEC, Security +, SSCP)
• Demonstrable experience supporting MS SQL, MariaDB, and/or Oracle databases
• Experience with index and performance management
• Experience troubleshooting issues with instances and applications
• Experience with backup and recovery processes
• Ability to work with diverse teams in support of a common mission
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

• Knowledge of AWS services, specifically RDS
• Experience with Power Shell/Python scripting to automate repetitive tasks
• Exposure to Commvault backup solutions
• Knowledge of SQL Server Always On
• Knowledge of Windows Event Log Filtering
• Knowledge of Windows Task Scheduler Setup and Management
• Experience supporting SharePoint implementations

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000. This range is a good‑faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. At Cyber Core, we consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including the specific role and its responsibilities, the candidate's professional experience, geographic location, education, and relevant skills. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.
