Hardware Technician - Level 1 (Mobility Support Specialist)

Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high‑end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
Job Description- Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site configuration and user requirements.
- Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
- Develop hardware installation schedules.
- Prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.
- Prepare site installation plans.
- Configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment.
- Train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
- Install and configure computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment and associated cabling.
- Maintain government and/or vendor‑manufactured fiber‑optic/Ethernet cables and telephone systems.
Salary
: $31k – $71k depending on experience and contract. Excellent benefits package, including up to 3 weeks paid vacation and 11 paid holidays. Eligible for health care (single and family) immediately. 401(k) plan with employer match available.
Minimum education and experience:
High school/GED, zero to two years of experience, and 8570 certification. Preferred:
Security+ certification. An AA or BS in a technical field can substitute for years of experience.
Highly skilled in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals. Well versed in installing Windows, software, applications, antivirus, and patches. Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Expertise in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Able to manage time and priorities effectively and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Proficient in remote support. Familiar with Active Directory security and policies.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
Must be available to work an 8‑hour shift between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., as determined by management.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and drive a company vehicle. Physical demands include significant lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; periodic work in tight areas.
Required clearance: TS/SCI polygraph clearance.
