Systems Engineer

Overview

Leidos seeks an Infrastructure Systems Engineer within our Intelligence Sector's Cyber and Analytics Business Area. This role supports a mission‑critical secure enclave environment, administering secure Linux (Red Hat) and Windows systems, managing physical and virtual network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and availability of the environment, and providing support for vulnerability remediation, backup, and compliance activities.

• Administer and maintain secure Linux (Red Hat) and Windows systems supporting mission operations.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual network infrastructure and associated network devices.
• Install, configure, and support network hardware, firewalls, and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform system maintenance, software updates, patch management, backups, and security compliance activities.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and assist with remediation efforts to maintain secure system operations.
• Manage user accounts and troubleshoot client/server and network connectivity issues.
• Support secure data management and data transfer activities across mission systems.
• Maintain system availability while supporting mission‑critical infrastructure in a secure enclave environment.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot operational issues and support evolving mission requirements.

• Bachelor's degree with 5 + years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis for candidates without a degree).
• Experience administering Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems.
• Experience supporting physical and virtual network infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting client/server environments and network connectivity issues.
• Experience with data management and secure data transfer.

• Experience with Ansible automation.
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Experience using Git Lab.
• Experience with Quay.
• Knowledge of Latte Art/Biscotti.
• Experience supporting classified or mission‑critical secure enclave environments.

$87,100.00 – $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
