Data​/Software Engineer; Elastic​/ELK

Innovien is supporting a critical network operations modernization program in the federal defense space. We're hiring a Data/Software Engineer to architect and build the data pipelines and infrastructure that power mission-critical dashboards and analytics for network operations teams. You'll join a data team turning complex, disparate systems data into decision-ready intelligence for DoD stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and transform large, complex, disparate data sources for analytics and reporting
• Unify data from multiple network operations systems into a consistent, accessible platform, ensuring data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance
• Develop and manage data warehouses and data lakes to support analytics, reporting, and operational dashboards, optimizing for performance, scalability, and cost
• Automate ETL/ELT processes, data validation, and monitoring, and support CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment

What You Bring

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building and optimizing data pipelines
• 3+ years building data pipelines with the ELK/Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka/Confluent or NiFi for data ingestion
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (AWS preferred) and/or Kubernetes or Red Hat Open Shift for deployments
• CompTIA Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within 14 days of start

Nice to Have

• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, or equivalent)
• Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Git/Bitbucket)

• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required
• Onsite, Fort Meade, MD (5x/week initially; flexibility for 3-4x/week after onboarding)
