Sr Infrastructure, Cloud & Security Systems Admin 3 with Security Clearance

The System Administrator Lvl 3 provides senior-level support for implementing, troubleshooting, securing, and maintaining enterprise IT systems. This role oversees system infrastructure, ensures reliable operations across servers, networks, storage, and endpoints, and provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for escalated technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure components.

• Manage daily configuration, operations, monitoring, and issue resolution for server, storage, network, and mobile systems.

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.

• Communicate issue status, escalations, and updates to agency management and internal stakeholders.

• Support dispatch system operations and participate in hardware-related issue resolution.

• Configure and administer UNIX and Windows operating systems; perform OS installation, troubleshooting, optimization, and network component configuration.

• Apply and maintain compliance with DISA STIGs, CVEs, and IAVA requirements.

• Administer PKI infrastructure, certificate management, DNS, and IP resources.

• Work with VMware vSphere/vCenter and related APIs.

• Support Amazon AWS EC2 operations and associated services.

• Provide basic support for containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and Git Ops/CI/CD workflows (Git Lab).

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (must already be held)

• IAT Level II (Security+ CE, GSEC, CySA+, CCNA Security, or GICSP)

• 15+ years of system administration experience supporting complex enterprise or DoD systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).

• Hands-on administration experience with Linux OS (RHEL9, Talos).

• Experience building host image templates using automation tools such as Terraform, Packer, SALT, Ansible, RHEL Satellite, and Jumphost technologies.

• Familiarity with Trellix Endpoint Security, Nessus Security Center, UAM, rsyslog, and auditd.

• Ability to script and automate tasks using Python, Power Shell, or Bash.

• Understanding of system interdependencies within service-oriented architectures.

• Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex hardware, software, and application integration issues.
