Systems Engineer Non-Common- Fully Cleared with Security Clearance

White Sky Technologies specializes in systems engineering and technology management solutions for U.S. Government clients. As a System Engineer, you are responsible for providing support to our web-based mission application and its customers. This software product is a full life cycle software suite that provides audio & video ingest, storage, query, playback, analysis, and transcription features.

Our application is used by national and tactical analysts on small systems (laptops) and large systems (server farms). You will be working with technologies including Amazon Web Services / VMs, Kubernetes, Docker, Grafana, Kabana, Git Lab CI/CD, Jira, Confluence. Responsibilities:
* Support the Dev Ops team in testing and troubleshooting our web application

* Collaborate with operations and development teams to identify testing needs and develop test plans

* Triage reported operational issues

* Monitor Tier 1 application health and status metrics

* Report issues detected during testing or system usage via the ticketing system

* Perform system and application installations and upgrades

* Provide operational support and/or training to users

* Monitor and respond to application related Jura Service Desk tickets

* Occasionally respond to mission critical after hours calls

* Participate in minor CONUS/OCONUS travel (~1-2 times per year)

Skills Required:

* Experience with Git Lab and CI/CD pipelines

* Experience working in Linux environments (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9)

* Experience with Grafana

* Experience with Jira and Confluence

* Experience providing customer support through Jira Service Desk Desired

Skills:

* Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby)

* Familiarity with containerized applications, specifically using Docker/Kubernetes

* Familiarity with BDD testing frameworks (Cucumber, Spock, Behave)

* Familiarity with automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet)

* Experience with Elastic Search and Kibana

* Experience with HCI/AWS Cloud services

* Experience with STE/STN & OS hardening

* Experience with IT Instances Authoritative Data Source (ADS)

Qualifications:

* Ten (10) years of experience required as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

* Active TS/SCI w/ poly

Salary range - $180,000-$210,000, based on qualifications/experience
