System Administrator/System Engineer
Chesapeake Consultants is seeking a talented System Administrator/System Engineer who is passionate about technology, creative problem solving, and delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities- Design, create, and maintain innovative technical solutions.
- Enhance existing applications by integrating new technology components and capabilities.
- Collaborate with customers to help them understand and evaluate new technologies, ensuring alignment with their current and future needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer supporting system engineering, software development, or related activities.
- Proven experience with the following technologies and applications:
Linux system administration, AWS-based architecture/design/provisioning, Python, Perl, Cross-domain solutions, RESTful web services. - Bonus experience with any of the following:
Java/Java script, Docker, Kubernetes, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.) - Ability to work effectively in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Highly adaptable and able to work in a flexible and fluid environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication.
