Software Engineer - Level 1 - Search

Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Web Developer who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.

This team designs, creates, maintains, and troubleshoots multiple web-based applications that are deployed in both cloud and local on-premise environments.

• Experience leading small teams and/or mentoring junior developers

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong desire to learn and grow

• Experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, ASG, Lambda, etc.) or Azure cloud environments
• Experience with scripting languages such as Power Shell, Perl, and Python
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and Git

Salary: $97k - $201k depending on experience and contract. Excellent benefits package, including up to 3 weeks paid vacation and 11 paid holidays. Eligible for health care (single and family) immediately. 401(k) plan with employer match available.

Qualifications: Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Certifications:

Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level I (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP)
