Position Overview

F&A Technologies LLC is seeking a
Senior Information Review and Release Analyst to support a high-priority, mission-critical program for a dynamic Intelligence Community office at Fort Meade, Maryland.

The selected candidate will conduct detailed research and first-level reviews of classified documents and information to support declassification and information release decisions. This position requires significant experience evaluating classified information, applying applicable classification and information security policies, and making well-supported recommendations for redaction and release.

The successful candidate will apply strong critical-thinking skills when evaluating individual cases and will utilize a broad range of customer systems and tools to accurately support the review and release process. This role requires a strong understanding of the customer's missions, organization, historical policies, and applicable Intelligence Community and Department of Defense requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research into the substance, context, and history of assigned documents.
  • Perform first-level reviews of classified documents and information.
  • Evaluate classified information in accordance with applicable classification and information security policies and requirements.
  • Determine appropriate red actions through electronic and/or manual review processes.
  • Make recommendations regarding the release, withholding, or redaction of information.
  • Provide clear and supportable rationales for redaction and release decisions.
  • Apply applicable exemption codes and classification criteria when making review determinations.
  • Research previous release and declassification decisions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and appropriate application of established precedents.
  • Identify information and equities belonging to Other Government Agencies (OGAs).
  • Prepare OGA equities for referral, coordination, or additional review as appropriate.
  • Accurately document and record review decisions in designated customer systems.
  • Utilize customer-specific systems, databases, and tools supporting the information review and release process.
  • Apply sound judgment and critical-thinking skills when evaluating complex or sensitive cases.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing classified information.
  • Collaborate with government personnel and other stakeholders as necessary to support review and release decisions.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving customer policies, mission requirements, and information security considerations.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the mission.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Prior experience providing at least first-level review of classified documents.
  • Demonstrated experience making recommendations for the redaction and/or release of classified information for the customer.
  • Significant historical knowledge of customer policies related to information security and classification.
  • Strong understanding of the customer's missions and organizational structure.
  • Familiarity with applicable
