Mid-Senior Service Now Developer

The Digital Modernization Sector has an opportunity for a Service Now Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract s program supports the operations, sustainment, maintenance, repair, and defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN), while driving operational modernization and innovation initiatives. The selected candidate will support the configuration, development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Service Now platform, working closely with stakeholders to deliver digital transformation solutions focused on request fulfillment, workflow automation, and ITIL-based service management processes.

Required Skills

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (such as Security+), or ability to obtain Security+ within 14 days of start.
• Bachelor's degree and 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 6 to 10 years of relevant experience. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Minimum 6 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting technology infrastructure.
• Minimum 4 years of Service Now development experience.
• Experience with Service Now upgrades.
• Experience with Service Now Discovery and CMDB.
• Experience developing or supporting OMT (Order Management Telecommunications) and TNI (Telecommunications Network Inventory) modules.
• Experience with ITSM, ITOM, APIs, scripting, implementation, and development.
• Strong customer service, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to mentor and train junior developers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, configuration, and administration of Service Now ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules.
• Create and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, and roles.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, reporting capabilities, and scheduled reports.
• Configure integrations between Service Now and external platforms such as Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, and other enterprise tools.
• Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades.
• Assist with the design, documentation, and cataloging of business process workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Configure Service Now capabilities to meet operational needs.
• Support business process modernization efforts and migration of ticketing and order management functions into Service Now.
• Analyze customer data and identify trends that improve customer experience and network performance.
• Work directly with customers to address systems engineering considerations and technical issues.
• Develop, configure, customize, troubleshoot, and maintain Service Now applications.
• Design and implement Service Now integrations, applications, and automation solutions.
• Support Agile Scrum development activities and project execution.
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Service Now implementation and ongoing enhancements.
• Review and incorporate UI/UX requirements into platform development efforts.
• Follow coding standards and contribute to technical documentation.
• Support data migration efforts as required.
• Design and implement solutions in accordance with configuration management standards.
• Integrate and maintain data within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring quality and integrity.
• Mentor and support junior developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Service Now Certified Application Developer certification.
• Experience with Agile development and testing methodologies.
• Experience with Service Now applications including TSM, TNI, and OMT modules.
• Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITIL knowledge.
• AWS cloud and Service Now certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• Experience with large-scale software systems, including hardware integration and testing.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Experience using SAFe Agile methodologies.
