Cloud Solutions Engineer
Engineers and implements complex cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), actively deploying and managing container orchestration platforms.
Studies, reviews, and analyzes DISA's current IT plans and operations to determine current and future information systems requirements.
Identifies new approaches, emerging information technologies, and/or applications for utilization at DISA.
Develops, analyzes, evaluates, and identifies problems or areas where service improvements can be made. Develops IT studies to address problems and measure productivity.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months.

The incumbent must obtain Acquisition certification in the Engineering and Technical Management
Functional Area
at the Practitioner Functional Tier within 60 months of entry into this position, IAW DoDI 5000.66.
The incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually thereafter, IAW DoD 5500.07-R, Joint Ethics Regulation (JER).
Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience. Experience designing, engineering, and deploying secure, enterprise-level Microsoft Azure cloud architectures; or container orchestration platforms (specifically Kubernetes or AKS); or, experience utilizing Code tools (such as Terraform or Git Lab CI/CD). Demonstrated ability to analyze legacy IT environments to define future system requirements, design cloud-native solutions, and conduct technical feasibility studies.
