Illumio Systems Engineer
The OpportunityA well-designed and segmented network is critical to move data and enable the DoD to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs and meet growing Zero Trust security requirements? Crafting the right secure network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning.
That’s why we need you, a seasoned network security engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the DoD needs. As a network security engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, TCP/IP ports and protocols, and network traffic flow to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries.
You’ll troubleshoot, design, and deploy network security policy to increase security, reliability, and availability for mission‑critical networked applications. Join us. The world can’t wait.
- 2+ years of experience with Illumio Core or Illumio Endpoint in a production environment
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and micro segmentation strategies
- Experience with cloud environments and hybrid IT infrastructures
- Experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls with layer 3 and 4 security policies
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and ACLs
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification such as CEH, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND Certification within 30 days of start date
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification such as Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification within 30 days of start date
- Experience integrating Illumio with SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management platforms
- Experience with container security and Kubernetes micro segmentation
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks
- Illumio Certified Professional Certification
