Role Overview
A motivated Hardware Technician is needed to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate specialized classified equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot hardware failures using test equipment and diagnostic software; perform precise mechanical and electrical repairs including micro-soldering and component replacement; disassemble, clean, and reassemble devices to factory standards; conduct post-repair testing to ensure functionality; manage spare parts inventory and document usage; follow ESD safety protocols and handle hazardous materials appropriately.
QualificationsMinimum of 1+ year experience with a high school diploma or equivalent; proficient with hand tools, test equipment, soldering, and understanding device internals; able to interpret electrical schematics and manuals; knowledgeable in ESD safety and chemical handling.
Preferred SkillsTechnical certifications, certifications like CompTIA A+, IPC soldering/rework certifications, or vendor-specific repair certifications are advantageous.
Clearance &Physical Requirements
Active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance; able to lift 40 pounds, remain stationary, and work with microscopic components with excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
