NSA Police Officer - Entry to Experienced Level; Maryland

The National Security Agency (NSA) has a current and ongoing requirement for personnel to serve as Full-time officers with the NSA Police on its complexes at Fort Meade, Maryland. The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position.

Entry is with a high school diploma or GED and no experience. Experience working with basic office resources (e.g., e-mail, web browsers, word processors, and presentation graphics), working in security, law enforcement, and/or military service is desired. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid U.S. driver's license. Certification in Act 120, MPTC, FLETC exempt, CPR, and AED is preferred.

Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. Degree in Criminology, Behavioral Science, Law Enforcement, or a Security related field is preferred, but a degree in any field is acceptable. Relevant experience must be with NSA police, equivalent experience (e.g., SARU, ATFP), or in security (i.e., personnel or physical).

Certification in the following areas is preferred (i.e., Firearm, Act 120, MPTC, FLETC exempt). CPR, AED, HAZMAT, and Incident Command certifications and/or training is also preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid U.S. driver's license. Formal or informal leadership is preferred.

Degree in Criminology, Behavioral Science, Law Enforcement, or a Security related field is preferred, but a degree in any field is acceptable. Relevant experience must be with NSA police, equivalent experience (e.g., SARU, ATFP), or in security (i.e., personnel or physical).
