Position: Software Engineer III with Security Clearance
Kavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer III to support a client in Fort Meade, MD.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience developing and supporting cloud-native, microservices-based applications in a mission environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Java and Spring, containerized deployments, Kubernetes orchestration, and system monitoring, and can operate effectively within an Agile, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring frameworks
* Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and container
* Support container orchestration using Kubernetes Monitor system health and performance using Grafana and Prometheus Use Git for source control and collaborative development
* Participate in Agile development processes, including planning, standups, and retrospectives
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions

Required Qualifications:

* Experience using the Linux command line interface
* Experience developing microservices using Java and Spring Hands-on experience with Docker and container
* Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration
* Experience with system monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
* Experience using Git for version control Desired

Qualifications:

* Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Git Lab CI and ArgoCD
* Experience with Open Search or Elasticsearch for data indexing and retrieval
* Experience with Apache NiFi for dataflow management and ingestion
* Experience with the Amazon HCI platform
* Strong debugging, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in an Agile, multidisciplinary team environment

Location:

* Fort Meade, MD
* This position is onsite and there is no remote availability. Clearance Requirement:
* Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
