Software Engineer, Java Developer
Kavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer II to support a client in Fort Meade, MD.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Software / Data Engineer with strong experience supporting analytic workflows and data processing frameworks in a classified, mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with Ghost Machine analytics, Java-based application development, and dataflow orchestration tools, and is comfortable supporting enterprise processes and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and support analytics using Ghost Machine
- Build and support data processing solutions using the Portable Map Reduce (PMR) framework
- Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
- Design and support dataflows using NiFi and Notifier; support the AVP process and represent analytic efforts to AVG as required
- Use Git Lab for source control and CI/CD workflows
- Leverage Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) for tracking, documentation, and collaboration
- Experience with Ghost Machine analytics
- Experience with Portable Map Reduce (PMR) framework
- Strong Java development experience, including Spring and Spring Boot; hands‑on experience with NiFi and Notifier
- Familiarity with AVP processes and representing work to AVG
- Experience using Git Lab and the Atlassian tool suite
- Ability to work fully onsite in a secure environment
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
- Fort Meade, MD
- This position is onsite and there is no remote availability
- Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
- Applicant must hold permanent U.S. citizenship in accordance with government contract requirements.
