Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer

Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required.

Visionist is recruiting for a Mid‑Level Full‑Stack Software Engineer to build specialized tools for our prime contract and collaborate with AI/ML engineers and business leaders.

• Build and maintain full‑stack applications in collaboration with business leaders and AI/ML engineers to support custom media operations.
• Partner with AI/ML engineers, stakeholders, and end users to understand complex operational challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Rapidly prototype and pilot advanced capabilities to meet evolving customer needs.
• Improve system usability and workflow efficiency by collaborating with end users to design and refine intuitive user experiences.
• Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies and identify opportunities to operationalize them within mission workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• Proven ability to take projects from initial concept and scoping through iterative development, testing, and deployment.
• Ability to work independently and break down complex problems into actionable tasks with minimal oversight.
• Experience conducting user research, iterating on features based on feedback, and solving real‑world operational challenges.
• Extensive experience developing applications using JavaScript/Type Script, including Node.js and frontend frameworks such as React and Material UI.
• Experience working in Linux environments, particularly Ubuntu or Amazon Linux.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.

• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Lab.

Salary range: $150,000 - $190,000.
