Position OverviewThe CNO Analyst/Programmer Level 1 provides custom software design and development for Computer Network Operations (CNO) tools and techniques. This role supports the creation of end-to-end data flows, tasking integration, and tool functionality while adhering to government-defined software development procedures.
The position involves hands‑on development, participation in design and code reviews, documentation creation, and ensuring software readiness at all stages of the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Develop custom software solutions and capabilities in support of CNO mission requirements.
- Design and implement end‑to‑end tasking and data flows for CNO tools.
- Participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews in accordance with government software development standards.
- Author and maintain technical documentation, reports, and development artifacts.
- Develop applications across multiple environments, which may include:
- Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET
- UNIX/Linux applications using makefiles or comparable build systems
- Embedded or mobile platforms using proprietary, GOTS, or open‑source build environments
- Program using languages such as Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
- Follow established government procedures for secure development, testing, and deployment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages:
Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, Python. - Experience developing software for
- Windows (.NET, Visual Studio)
- UNIX/Linux environments
- Embedded or mobile platforms
- Ability to create and maintain development documentation.
- Familiarity with government software development methodologies and approval processes.
One of the following:
- Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma with 8 years of relevant experience.
Degree or experience must be in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Network Engineering.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000
