Cloud Software Engineer
As a full‑stack developer, you will build end‑to‑end solutions in a fast, agile environment. Your role includes designing, developing, and maintaining software and systems from vision to production‑ready, while overseeing a team that learns new tools and techniques and identifies system improvements.
ResponsibilitiesYou will help clients overcome complex challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You will ensure that the solutions developed by the team consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.
Qualifications- Experience developing software using Python or Java.
- Experience in data modeling, including normalization of data and working with metrics.
- Experience developing and maintaining web‑based server applications and implementing algorithms that interface with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience developing task automation using the AWS API.
- Experience with periodic or streaming data.
- Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
- Ability to design, develop, and implement data processing workflows.
- Ability to develop and optimize data structures for data storage and retrieval using JSON, YAML, or No
SQL databases. - TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science field and 14+ years of experience in a Linux software engineering environment, or 18+ years of experience in a Linux environment in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with unstructured databases (e.g., Mongo or Elasticsearch) and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
- Experience implementing test environments for automated code validation.
- Experience with containers.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Git Lab CI.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and tooling, including Terraform.
- Experience with mono‑repo architecture and tooling.
- Experience with web page design using JavaScript, Angular, or Python Shiny.
- Experience developing pipelines using the AWS API, including Lambda and Step Functions.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as NMP or BGP.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast‑paced, highly collaborative, and team‑oriented environment and balance long‑ and short‑term taskings.
