Senior Software Engineer; Reverse Engineering

Overview

Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required. Visionist offers a fully funded opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer (Reverse Engineering) on a large PRIME contract. Our team crafts specialized tools for mission-focused efficiency, with collaboration across users, policy makers, and leadership on innovative projects. This program covers Systems Design and Engineering, Database Administration, Data Science and Knowledge Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Integration and Test, and Operations and Systems Support.

Salary range and compensation details will be determined on an individual basis following the interview process.

• Enhance and maintain existing software toolsets
• Gather, analyze, and document technical requirements
• Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end software solutions that operate within mission constraints
• Participate in peer code reviews to improve code quality and reduce defects
• Develop prototypes to validate technical approaches and demonstrate mission solutions
• Support and troubleshoot fielded software systems

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 12 years of experience in reverse engineering (10 years with a Master’s degree)
• Experience developing software in C, C++, Python, and/or Assembly
• Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and experience analyzing network traffic with tools such as Wireshark
• Experience supporting and maintaining production software systems
• Familiarity with Git and Subversion version control systems
• Experience using Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence

Salary range: $160,000 - $240,000
