Senior Software Engineer TS​/SCI w​/Poly

Purpose and Impact

Amentum is seeking an experienced senior developer to create custom analytics to perform  software engineer will work closely with data scientists and end users to develop innovative analytic tools to further discovery and tradecraft around critical global challenges, then deliver innovative solutions focused on operationalizing data science.

Work directly with data scientists as well as mission analysts to solve the most demanding strategic problems; perform end-to-end software engineering to prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and tradecraft into the customer's corporate architecture.

• Strong experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Java Map Reduce, Python Py Spark
• Strong experience with statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals
• Strong experience with customer tools, architecture, data flow, and use of big data
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab; experience with Agile methodologies

• TS/SCI Poly

• A Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or
• a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or
• a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or
• an Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or
• a High School diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

• Experience with software development processes (i.e., requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance) and programming.
• Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and using Large Language Models (LLMs)
