About the Role We are looking for an Automated Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of a modern web-based report authoring and dissemination system. You will design and maintain automated test suites while working closely with a cross-functional Agile team of developers, systems engineers, and product owners. This role is central to validating functional enhancements and supporting the ongoing modernization of authoring and dissemination tooling.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright Execute automated test suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and document defects and testing metrics

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git Lab CI/CD) in partnership with Dev Ops and software engineers

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and demos

Collaborate with the team to understand functional requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and bug fixes

Validate RESTful microservices, APIs, and modern web application functionality

Required Qualifications Proven experience designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests using Playwright (must be explicitly reflected on resume)
Proficiency in JavaScript or Type Script for test script development

Experience testing modern web applications, RESTful microservices, and APIsStrong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

Experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence

Experience with Git for version control

Desired Qualifications Experience configuring and integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git Lab CI/CD)
Familiarity with cloud-based architecture and deployment on AWSBasic understanding of containerization with Docker for consistent test environments

Familiarity with government reporting and dissemination policies and workflows
