What You'll Do
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approval workflow, and payment processing.
- Lead a team of Accounts Payable Associates who code expenses, verify and process invoices, and issue payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and other financial obligations in accordance with payment terms.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Implement and maintain procedures to minimize fraud risk and strengthen financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, including sales and use tax requirements when applicable.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
- Negotiate payment terms and collaborate with procurement and business leaders as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and/or 4+ years of commensurate experience; minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with large-scale accounting systems such as Stampli, BI360, or Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and convey a professional image.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams with associates at all levels.
- Efficient, detail-oriented, and positive.
- A self-starter who continually looks for ways to improve processes.
