Job Overview:

Our Business Development & Sales teams are seeking Summer 2027 interns. These positions would like the ideal candidates to be local to the Austin, Fort Mill or Tempe office, functioning off a hybrid schedule at the intern and managers discretion.

Business Development at LPL Financial is the initial point of contact between LPL & the Financial Advisors. BD interns help build the bridge with advisors seeking greater control over their professional and personal life & our recruitment team. The intern is responsible for driving lead flow into our recruitment teams in order to increase sales. Responsibilities:

Obtain exposure to systems, databases, and other applications used by the company on a daily basis.

Participate in process walkthroughs in accordance with department and professional standards.

Work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to interact not only with the team’s management but also with other business units’ management.

Practice project management through handling various assignments and projects.

Expand knowledge through training and other online courses.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.Interest in the Sales/ Business Development industry

Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to the Fort Mill/Charlotte, Austin, or Tempe offices - Selected candidates will operate out of the office working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office)

Core Competencies:

Organization and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Salesforce (CRM)
Goal-oriented mindset with an eagerness to learn.

Summer 2027 Internship

Schedule:

Full - time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2027;
Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours.

Internship dates: 6/1/2027 – 8/6/2027
