Drywall Estimator

Efficient Contractors, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a Drywall Estimator to join our team in Charleston and in Fort Mill SC. Our services include cold formed & light gauge metal framing, drywall & finishing, rough carpentry, insulation and ACT.

Seeking experienced candidates to lead in Estimating

Cost estimating, bidding, preparation of detailed written proposals, scope review, contract negotiation, buyout/final pricing, project set up, pre-construction, attending project meetings, and maintaining pertinent project documentation.

• Analyze plan documents and other data to prepare accurate, detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Communicate effectively as part of a team and understand sales and negotiating techniques
• Comprehensive of industry unit pricing in order to create effective and precise budgets.
• Communicate with multiple vendors to prepare material costs and up-to-date pricing information for bids.
• Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.
• Competent in offering value engineering recommendations to clients and management.
• Follow up on proposals and provide updates and feedback to management.
• Develop and maintain accurate unit cost databases.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
• Capable of validating subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes quickly and accurately.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Drywall Estimating
• Must be experienced with Onscreen Takeoff & Quick-Bid Software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting Architectural & Structural drawings.
• Complete knowledge and experience with metal framing, drywall, finishing and carpentry.
• Detail-oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organization, time management and prioritization skills.
