Place And Finish Superintendent
The Place and Finish Superintendent manages all project planning and proactively monitors and verifies project execution, including safety, schedule, cost, and quality. The superintendent is also responsible for ensuring customer service by identifying, monitoring, and resolving conflict, as well as assuring efficient internal and external communication.
Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise daily place and finish operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Provide direct oversight of field crews during concrete pours, including placement, finishing, curing, and protection activities.
- Works as a team member and leader to pour, level, and finish concrete successfully.
- Must be present during all scheduled concrete pours to coordinate field operations and maintain workmanship quality.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material needs to support production schedules and project milestones.
- Review drawings, specifications, and pour plans to ensure proper execution of work.
- Monitor production, identify field issues proactively, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct daily site walks and pre-pour inspections to verify readiness and quality expectations.
- Track daily progress, manpower, weather impacts, and production quantities through accurate reporting.
- Ensure company equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with customers and vendors, thereby helping to resolve conflicts and ensuring expectations are being met and potential future opportunities.
- Acts as the main point of communication between the field and office, including investigation and conflict resolution when challenges arise.
- Coordinates field hiring and management coordination with appropriate support divisions.
- Mentor foremen and crew members to improve performance, accountability, and field leadership.
- Communicates directly with the general contractor's field team to ensure expectations are being met.
- Support successful project closeout by ensuring punch list items and quality deficiencies are resolved promptly.
Other duties may be assigned.
Required Experience, Education, and Qualifications- 7+ years of field coordination or relevant commercial construction project experience, with at least 3 years in a field management role at a foreman or superintendent level or above.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and execute to construction drawings and contract specifications. Resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Proven experience in producing look-ahead schedules and working with other construction documents as required by the project and leadership.
- General problem-solving/conflict resolution skills.
- Understand basic project financial information (monthly cost projections, labor cost reports, etc.)
- Valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/ job location(s).
- Ability to pass drug screening.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

- This position requires daily driving to multiple jobs a day to supervise projects across the region.
- This position needs to be able to lift 80 lbs.
- This is a full-time position. Hours and schedules fluctuate with the project(s). This position needs to be available if work is occurring on the job site.
- This position requires regular travel to local job locations in and around Charlotte. Day/Overnight travel to other regions will occur occasionally.
- Typical hours will vary per week and are subject to change depending on the time of year and workload. This role requires the ability to work non-typical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules. Due to the critical nature of the role, accepting phone calls even during non-typical workdays and hours is also necessary.
