YourKey Responsibilities Digital Engineering & Simulation
- Design and execute digital simulations and statistical analyses to validate value streams, layouts, and processes before physical implementation.
- Develop and apply digital engineering methodologies — integrating products, processes, and resources — throughout the entire production lifecycle.
- Perform digital verification of feasibility for manufacturing concepts, using data‑driven approaches to reduce risk and accelerate decision‑making.
- Plan, simulate, and implement machine interlinking concepts using Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), from initial concept through to full‑scale deployment.
- Evaluate and integrate new automation technologies, assessing their impact on cycle time, tooling, quality, and material flow.
- Partner with production teams to identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing issues using statistical and digital tools, ensuring root causes are addressed sustainably.
- Initiate and lead structured troubleshooting processes based on live production data, driving corrective actions through to completion.
- Work closely with Schaeffler's global manufacturing technology networks — including division, business division, and business unit groups — while maintaining strong alignment with regional stakeholders.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field and 1 year of experience
- Relevant professional experience in production and digitalization with focus on disruptive concepts and technologies.
- Knowledge of end‑to‑end digital engineering in linking product, process, and resource contexts, integration of design, simulation, and production.
- Experience in applying and customizing digital engineering and simulation tools (e.g., Plant Simulation, Visual Components, 3D experience, Flex Sim, Omniverse etc) and developing and implementing proprietary software tools.
- Experience in the field of Industrial Metaverse and in development and implementation of digital production twins.
- Demonstrated competency in analyzing and evaluating production and logistics frameworks from technical and economic standpoints, including methodologies associated with Lean Production.
- Strong analytical skills and structured, solution‑oriented working style.
- Interpersonal proficiency including teamwork, goal orientation, conflict management, and effective communication.
- External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in an engineering related field
- Experience in animation and visualization
