In 1989, Wikoff’s first continual improvement department was established, adopting a Total Quality Management approach. Over the years, the department has matured and expanded its vision to include not only oversight of the quality management system, but also training programs and employee safety while adopting other improvement methodologies such as lean and six sigma.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s infrastructure, systems, and applications—ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology operations.

Key Responsibilities System Administration & Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Maintain and support core IT infrastructure, including physical servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and networked systems.
  • Manage system updates using WSUS and maintain a patch management strategy.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Terminal Servers and remote access tools such as Team Viewer and Forti Client VPN.
  • Administer hardware: installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, One Drive and SharePoint Online, Copilot
  • Support Exchange Hybrid environment: mail routing and coexistence troubleshooting.
  • Manage and enforce Group Policies across domain-joined systems.
  • Support M365 security and compliance features, including MFA administration via DUO.
Security, Backups & Compliance
  • Maintain endpoint protection using Sentinel One and ensure systems are hardened against cyber threats.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and logs; perform regular health checks.
  • Prepare systems for penetration and vulnerability testing.
  • Support disaster recovery, including backups and restores.
Automation, Monitoring & Troubleshooting
  • Develop, test, and maintain Power Shell and/or VBScript scripts to automate administrative tasks.
  • Utilize system monitoring tools to ensure infrastructure uptime.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system availability, networking, and user access.
  • Manage file systems and conduct scripted backups using tools like Robocopy.
User Support & Applications
  • Provide second-level support including account management, permissions, and group memberships.
  • Administer applications such as Bartender Software and Cisco Call Manager (VoIP/telephony basics).
  • Handle incidents, service requests, and asset tracking using Fresh service.
  • Basic knowledge of POTS lines, SIP trunks, and voice communication protocols.
Documentation, Policy Creation & Enforcement
  • Create, maintain, and enforce IT documentation including system configuration, SOPs, and change logs.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures to align with security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Ensure team and organizational adherence to established IT practices, policies, and documentation guidelines.
  • Participate in IT audits, compliance reviews, and business continuity planning.
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a systems administrator or infrastructure support role
  • Strong proficiency in Windows Server, VMware, and Windows desktop OS
  • Power Shell scripting experience (VBScript a plus)
  • Microsoft 365 administration and Exchange Hybrid support
  • Knowledge of Group Policy, user management, and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with network protocols, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting
  • Experience with endpoint security (e.g., Sentinel One) and VPN technologies (Forti Client preferred)
  • Experience with documentation and policy development
  • Experience with backup strategies, disaster recovery, and system monitoring
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field
Additional Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • This role requires a high level of autonomy. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable taking initiative
  • Must be willing to be on call and available outside standard business hours as needed
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication skills
