The SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) Key User – Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of demand planning, statistical modeling, and related data flow for the Continental Tire US PLT RE SAP APO DP and John Galt Atlas software. The role includes leading initiatives for both systems, communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders, and providing comprehensive user support and training.
Collaboration with sales, demand planners, analysts, IT personnel, and cross‑functional teams is essential to ensure effective collaboration, user adoption, and system optimization.
- Determine the most appropriate forecast model for each product or product group based on historical data analysis and update statistical baseline forecast models and outputs as needed.
- Collaborate with Demand Planners to improve forecasts through product grouping, system changes, and/or model changes for both APO and Atlas.
- Coordinate and generate standard KPI reporting for statistical forecasting for the US PLT RE for both APO and Atlas.
- Monitor product phase‑in/out processes and adjust system parameters to reflect accurate baseline forecasts, including creation of new entry records such as APO CVCs, assignment of modeling profiles, and updates to Item and Customer Master data.
- Create, maintain, and update internal and external data formats/accuracy to ensure successful daily batch runs for Atlas.
- Maintain documentation of APO and Atlas systems and provide end‑user training for new demand planners and other users as needed.
- Monitor the interface between SAP APO/Galt ATLAS and other systems, track data flow from internal and external sources, and alert IT and end users when issues arise. Maintain system data and parameters relevant for batch and forecast runs.
- Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports on baseline (statistical) forecasts and external data (Sell‑Out and Customer On‑Hand) as well as any system‑generated alerts.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 0–2 years of relative professional analyst experience.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
- Relocation package available if needed.
- 2–5 years of relative analyst professional experience.
- Expertise in SAP APO/John Galt ATLAS or other demand‑planning software.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Developed math/statistical modeling skills.
