Finance Systems Analyst
The Finance Systems Analyst reports to the Vice President of Finance Systems under the Center of Excellence group. This role specializes in data projects under the hierarchy of the Chief Accounting Officer that require advanced analytic skills. The analyst will provide strategic, analytical, and technical support for various departments, leveraging disparate data to create solutions that empower the business to effectively make decisions.
Responsibilities- Perform recurring and ad‑hoc system administration tasks to support business operations.
- Translate and visualize data into information and insights to discover trends and patterns for solving business problems and improving key performance indicators.
- Provide a customer‑centric experience for business partners.
- Create detailed documentation, process flows, and diagrams.
- Train and support end users on project solution functionality and procedures.
- Leverage existing systems used by the business (Oracle, SAP, Workday, etc.) to create efficiencies and automation.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within a progressively evolving environment.
- Drive project development through the project lifecycle.
- Partner closely with product management and technology teams in support of various initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships within finance, technology, other business organizations, and with third‑party vendors.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analysis, modeling, and additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, finance, business, or economics (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx).
- Familiarity with Python or SQL.
- Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience.
- Intellectually curious and have a background in data analyses.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills.
- Desire to drive organizational change through process improvement.
- Interpersonal and effective communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Excellent quantitative/analytical skills, and ability to utilize data to tell the story and drive insights, tailoring messaging to appropriate level for audience.
- Finding opportunities for business process optimization.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL and databases, or Python.
- Proficiency in dashboard and reporting development such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, data modeling).
- Understanding adaptability for change in the bigger picture; embracing those changes as opportunity for growth & development.
- Outstanding problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach towards assigned projects or tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and activities while meeting deadlines.
- Understanding of SOX controls and ensuring compliance over financial reporting.
