Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Release Train Engineer (RTE) to own and guide 8 scrum teams within a $13 million portfolio at a Fortune 500 company in the Financial Services sector. The role is contract-to-hire based in Fort Mill, SC, with a hybrid workplace model.
Key Responsibilities- Own, manage, and coach multiple scrum teams, ensuring delivery of quality software and solutions.
- Conduct Scrum of Scrum or SAFe ART processes and ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning events for release trains.
- Facilitate teams in defining and upholding Working Agreements, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
- Identify, remove, and Escalate impediments, recommending resolution strategies and influencing leadership to act.
- Lead retrospectives, track metrics, and foster a safe, trusting environment for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Solutions Managers, and stakeholders to meet all team and stakeholder needs.
- Maintain process excellence, best practices, and adherence across multiple trains and teams in the domain.
- Create and maintain information radiators (burn-down charts, velocity charts, dashboards) and demos to enhance transparency.
- Support Product and Program Managers with communication materials for senior leadership, ensuring clarity and visual appeal.
- Own delivery against deals and program milestones.
- Senior RTE experience at a Fortune 500 company, preferably in Financial Services.
- Strong proficiency with Jira and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to navigate complex environments and manage diverse personalities.
- Understanding of SDLC, technical language, and ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Python and Angular teams (specific technology knowledge not required).

Hourly rate range: $70.00 – $80.00/hr (contract-to-hire).
