Senior Cloud Architect

Our client, is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join their team. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will be part of the Cloud Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Fort Mill South Carolina (Onsite) Duration: 5+ Months

• Define and develop cloud strategy, reference architectures, and target-state blueprints to support enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Lead application portfolio assessments and develop modernization/migration roadmaps including rehost, replatform, and refactor strategies.
• Establish cloud governance policies, guardrails, and standards aligned with business and compliance requirements.
• Design and oversee enterprise landing zones, multi-region network topologies, and secure baseline patterns for compute, storage, and databases.
• Embed security by design, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI, while partnering with security teams to operationalize policies and incident response.

• 10+ years of experience in architecture/engineering with at least 5 years focused on cloud solutions, preferably AWS.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise landing zones, multi-account structures, and secure network designs at scale.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with container platforms (EKS/ECS, Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
