4+ month contract

Target Background

• 5+ years in Data Governance, Data Risk, Technology Risk, or Operational Risk
• Experience building governance programs—not just supporting them
• Financial Services or other regulated industries strongly preferred
• Strong governance documentation and policy writing experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Governance & Data Risk/Assurance Consultant to help launch a new enterprise Data Risk/Assurance function. This individual will partner with Data Governance, Risk, Technology, Privacy, Compliance, and business stakeholders to establish governance standards, build control frameworks, support assurance activities, and improve enterprise data risk management practices.

This is a hands-on consulting role responsible for translating governance policies into actionable controls, supporting governance assessments, developing executive reporting and metrics, driving remediation efforts, and assisting with the creation of an Enterprise End User Computing (EUC) governance framework.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Data Governance
• Data Risk
• Data Management
• Technology Risk
• Operational Risk
• Experience developing governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Strong business analysis and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.

• Enterprise Data Governance implementations
• Data Risk programs
• Internal Controls design and testing
• Audit remediation
• Risk assessments and issue management
• Governance metrics, KRIs, KPIs, and executive reporting
• Data Quality, Metadata, Classification, Privacy, and Retention programs
• AI/Data Product Governance
• EUC Governance
• Financial Services experience
