Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments.
Monitor database health, availability, and performance.
Optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and ad-hoc SQL.
Analyze execution plans and implement Query Store recommendations.
Manage indexes, statistics, and partitioning strategies.
Perform blocking analysis and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Administer Always On Availability Groups and Replication.
Manage SQL Agent and SSIS jobs.
Apply SQL Server patches, Cumulative Updates, and Service Packs.
Monitor CPU, memory, disk utilization, and TempDB performance.
Manage database security, user roles, and permissions.
Work closely with application development teams to resolve database-related issues.
Ensure database capacity planning and storage management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

6+ years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience (estimated based on the technologies listed)
Strong troubleshooting and database performance tuning skills
Experience supporting production-critical SQL Server environments
Knowledge of SQL Server High Availability (Always On AG)
Strong understanding of indexing, execution plans, Query Store, and T-SQL optimization
Experience collaborating with application development teams
Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Solar Winds DPA and Dynatrace is an advantage.
