Job Overview:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Release Train Engineer, serves as a strategic individual contributor within the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). This role combines technical program management expertise with Agile delivery practices to support enterprise-scale technology initiatives. The AVP partners closely with senior stakeholders to align program roadmaps with business objectives, provide executive-level reporting, manage governance activities, and drive execution across complex, cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities:

Manage large-scale technology programs and portfolio deliverables, ensuring effective governance of scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.

Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to develop, maintain, and track program roadmaps aligned to strategic objectives.

Deliver executive-level status reporting, dashboards, presentations, and governance materials using program metrics and OKRs.Coordinate dependencies across multiple initiatives and communicate impacts, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

Maintain governance forums, reviews, and reporting cadences to support program oversight and compliance.

Assess project-level impacts to programs and portfolios and escalate risks and issues when appropriate.

Provide timely status updates throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Collaborate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and delivery teams to support Pre-PI Planning, PI Planning, retrospectives, refinement sessions, and PI events.

Facilitate continuous improvement through process optimization, metrics analysis, retrospectives, and team engagement practices.

Identify, track, and help remove delivery impediments, escalating issues and recommending resolution strategies when needed.

Maintain governance dashboards and ensure reporting remains current and compliant.

Partner with stakeholders across Technology, Product, Operations, and Transformation organizations.

Track program budgets, actual expenditures, forecasts, and financial performance reporting.

Maintain accurate team rosters and resource tracking information.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in program management, technical program management, Agile delivery leadership, or a related discipline within a large enterprise environment.

Experience managing enterprise-scale technology programs and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.

Experience preparing executive-level reporting, presentations, and governance materials.

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and related project delivery and reporting tools.
