Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician III will have the ability to lead other service technicians, design solutions for difficult problems, manage outside contractors, be on call for emergencies, handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet timelines. Develop plans on how to accomplish departmental and operation goals.
PositionDescription:
- Perform all duties (repair, corrective, projects and PMs) in an urgent, but safe manner.
- Develop and recommend changes to proactive programs to increase machine uptime.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components—photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
- Program PLC and troubleshoot ladder logic, components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, modules, devices), and communication modules (Ethernet).
- Mentor junior technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.
- Maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization.
- Understand electrical schematics, control logic, volt/ohm meter use.
- Complete all safety training and comply with all safety programs, policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties/assignments required by management from time to time.
- Work all days and shifts, including overtime (10 hours a day, 4 days a week, including holidays);
Friday overtime is frequently scheduled. - Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two-year Technical Mechatronics degree preferred.
- Six years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment as a maintenance technician.

Intermediate computer knowledge; proficient with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
