Lab Technician

Job Summary

Apex Systems is seeking a QC Lab Technician for a local chemical manufacturing client located in Fort Mill, SC. This is a 3‑6 month Contract‑to‑Hire position with a 2/2/3 rotating schedule. Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in chemistry techniques including gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, IR, UV‑VIS, titrations, and other related techniques.

Pay: $22‑$26 per hour. Duration: 3‑6 months with Contract‑to‑Hire.

• Prepare standards and solutions for analysis
• Analyze samples including raw material, in-process, and final product
• Report results to production and record data
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment
• Prepare COA (Certificate of Analysis) for customer shipments
• Work closely with production, supervisors, and engineers

• 1+ year lab experience
• High School Diploma (degree in a science field is a plus)
• Able to work independently
• Flexible and willing to work overtime when needed
• Good housekeeping ethics
• Good chemical hygiene

• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office), spreadsheets
• Experience with GC (gas chromatography) and LC (liquid chromatography)
• Familiarity with Chem Station software
• Wet chemistry skills (pH, conductivity, titrations, solids, etc.)
• Experience with TOC, VOC, viscosity measurements
• UV‑Vis, IR or ICP experience (a plus)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standard
