Our client is seeking a Python Developer with experience in React front-end development and Python back-end development to support the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of an AWS-hosted web application. This individual will work closely with data modelers, analysts, business users, and product teams to develop scalable solutions, improve application performance, and support enterprise data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Python and React.
- Collaborate with product teams, data modelers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established development standards.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Document data ownership, application functionality, technical designs, and integration processes.
- Establish and maintain integrations with enterprise data repositories and systems.
- Adapt to new technologies, tools, and frameworks as project needs evolve.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies through continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with Python and common data manipulation libraries, including Pandas, Num Py, Datetime, and Regular Expressions (Regex)
- 1+ years of experience with SQL Server, including Writing SQL queries, developing stored procedures
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, or Git Lab.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for documentation, collaboration, and issue tracking.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Unit Test, PyTest, and Jest.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or AWS Glue.
- Knowledge of ETL and ELT processes and data integration methodologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale web applications and data-driven solutions.
