Job OverviewLPL Financial is seeking a motivated and technology-driven Software Engineering new grad to help build innovative solutions that support financial advisors and their clients. This role will work alongside experienced engineers and mentors, contributing to real-world projects while gaining hands-on experience with modern software development practices, cloud technologies, and AI-powered development tools. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about coding, problem-solving, and building scalable technology solutions.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using technologies such as React, Angular, Java, Python, .NET, Node.js, and related frameworks.
- Build and support APIs, backend services, databases, and cloud-based applications.
- Leverage automation and AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow software development best practices, including security, performance, and reliability standards.

Requirements- Completed a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), software engineering or a related field.
- Available to work from of LPL Financials' primary office locations
- Hands-on experience through coursework, internships, hackathons, or personal projects using at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or Java Script
- Software Engineering Fundamentals
- Understanding of software development, testing, debugging, databases, APIs, and secure coding practices. - Problem Solving & Collaboration
- Ability to work effectively across teams and solve technical challenges in a structured manner. - Cloud & Modern Development Practices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, Dev Ops principles, and scalable application development.
- Previous internship experience within a large-scale enterprise environment
- Experience with modern development frameworks and technologies such as React, Angular, .NET, Node.js, or Spring Boot.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), CI/CD pipelines, Git, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with AI/Generative AI technologies, AI-powered coding tools, machine learning concepts, or intelligent automation solutions.
- Participation in team software projects, hackathons, internships, or open-source contribution
