Staff Accountant

Vaco is hiring an Entry Level Staff Accountant for the NKY area. This is a direct hire and a great opportunity for an individual seeking to Accountant career! Salary: $52K with 10% bonus.

• Perform accounts payable activities including invoice processing, vendor statement reconciliations, and expense report review
• Perform accounts receivable activities including cash application, customer account maintenance, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support financial reporting and analysis as requested by the Controller
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and other accounting projects as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting and operational initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred (public or industry)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and take shows ownership of responsibilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
