Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD & 3D Printing Technician to support design and additive manufacturing operations. This role combines 3D modeling, printing, and post-processing in a collaborative product development environment.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically curious, and comfortable working across both digital design and physical production processes. Responsibilities CAD Design & 3D Modeling
  • Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (Solid Works preferred)
  • Translate sketches, concepts, and engineering inputs into accurate digital models
  • Prepare and optimize files for 3D printing, including orientation and support structures
  • Maintain organized design files and version control
3D Printing Operations
  • Set up, operate, and monitor 3D printers (FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.)
  • Prepare print jobs using slicing software (e.g., Cura, Orca Slicer, Bambu Studio)
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of printing equipment
  • Manage print queues and ensure timely production
Post-Processing & Quality
  • Perform finishing processes such as support removal, sanding, curing, and surface finishing
  • Inspect printed parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
  • Document results and contribute to continuous process improvements
Collaboration & Support
  • Partner with product development and design teams to iterate designs
  • Assist with material selection and testing of new processes
  • Support ongoing improvements in design and manufacturing workflows
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in CAD, engineering technology, or related field
  • Basic proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works, Fusion 360, or similar)
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and slicing tools
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with FDM, SLA, or other additive manufacturing systems
  • Exposure to product development or prototyping environments
  • Understanding of basic mechanical design principles
  • Experience with 3D print post-processing techniques and materials
