TRI-STATE ACE HARDWARE is hiring a Load Builder to manage the loading and unloading of building materials and other incoming materials for delivery or storage.

The Load Builder is responsible for moving, stacking, and inspecting materials, ensuring adherence to safety and company policies.

• Move loads, stock, or other materials to and from storage, production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand using material handling equipment.
• Attach identifying tags to loads, stock, or other materials.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or operational needs.
• Stack loads in locations such as material sheds, storage or production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand using material handling equipment.
• Carry out general yard duties.
• Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forward incomplete orders for further processing.
• Inspect outgoing work for compliance with order requirements.
• Check inventory system to determine availability of requested merchandise.
• Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies and work requirements.

• Ability to read, write, understand, and relay written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools when needed.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts, when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of related experience preferred.

• Requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, both indoors and outdoors.
• Must be in adequate physical condition to perform duties such as mental, physical, and manual dexterity, hand/grip strength, and depth perception required by the role.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Must wear prescribed personal protective equipment when handling material or operating equipment.
