How You'll ContributeAn Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role will provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice as well as.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
- Associate's Degree required, BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years ED experience preferred.
Valley View Medical Center is a 102,000-square-foot acute-care facility with two adjacent medical office buildings offering exceptional care to the community. We have 52 medical/surgical beds, 12 acute rehabilitation beds, 12 intensive care beds, and an 8-bed labor, delivery and post-partum unit, 16-bed Emergency Department and Valley View Medical Center is the only all-private bed hospital serving the Bullhead City/Laughlin/Needles area.
