American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a Compact or AZ RN license and 1-2 years of acute care surgical experience.

• Operating Room unit within an acute-care hospital setting featuring 6 ORs and 1 endo suite
• Patient population is 70% adult, 28% geriatric, and 2% pediatric
• Caseload includes general, endoscopic, orthopedic, OB, and GYN procedures, including scheduled and emergency C-sections
• Patient mix is approximately 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses new Olympus laparoscopic/endo equipment, processors and monitors, STERIS beds, and a HANA table
• Charts in MEDHOST and CQI EHR systems
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Weekend hours required only for on-call coverage, working every other weekend
• Call requirements are evenly shared among OR RNs, typically starting at 5:00 PM
• May float to PACU to serve as a second RN

• Active Compact or Arizona RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS preferred, but can be obtained onsite if needed
• 1-2 years of RN experience in an acute care facility required
• RN education required
• Skills/experience in general, endoscopic, orthopedic, OB, and GYN surgical cases required

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including general, endo, ortho, OB, and GYN cases
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Visible tattoos are acceptable as long as they meet professional standards
• Clothing with pornographic, foul language, or inappropriate imagery is not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time
