Starting Pay: $47,000.00 annual. Eligible for a monthly performance bonus of up to $1,000 based on performance goals.
Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities, supporting the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading production room as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities- Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
- Monitors product levels (floor work, as-is, recycle, trash, seasonal back stock) daily to meet sales budget targets.
- Ensures payroll and operating costs are managed to budget.
- Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers, de‑escalating situations and finding appropriate solutions.
- Maintains store locations clean, well‑kept, and reflective of the Goodwill brand.
- Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission and acts as a Goodwill ambassador.
- Leads day‑to‑day operations of the sales floor and oversees training of Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Manager.
- Acts as key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
- Processes complex sales transactions, including returns.
- Ensures Team Members operate per company standards and procedures.
- Travels to other GCNA locations to assist stores and attend training; may transfer to different stores as business needs arise.
- Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Builds a high‑performing team and manages performance (coaching, discipline, improvement plans, annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development.
- Plays a critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- One year of retail management experience.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
